Meet Saige

Hi, I’m Saige. When I was little, I wanted to be an artist. In my young mind, an artist had to paint and draw. My parents put me in lessons and… not quite my forte. Fast forward to adulthood and I pursued a career in healthcare. Six years of post-secondary, one degree and one Master’s degree later to realize I craved more.

The journey of how I got here isn’t unique. I was the girl who always carried a camera, taking photos travelling, on nights out, you name it. It was my second nature to document life, but I never thought of it as a career path. On a whim, I bought a used serious camera and took photos of a friend for ‘fun’. Turns out, it was more than fun. Photography changed my life and I’m just grateful I found my way here. The child in me would be proud that I found my creative outlet after all.

I’m drawn to editorial imagery as well as the imperfect, messy scenes of life and I’m into the unpredictability of the simplest of moments. I gain inspiration from great classics like the words of Hemingway, old world art, the visual sexiness of vintage Rolling Stones mags, travelling and the wondrous women in my life.

Pieces of me

Our daughter was born in May 2023. She is the light I didn’t know I needed in my life. My soul baby.

I got engaged in Baños, Ecuador in January 2022 overlooking a valley of waterfalls and married my husband Mikhael in September 2023 in Besalú, Spain. We had 40 of our closest people join us in a 15th century Catalan property, our style and our way. We are both adventurers by nature and it was what first connected us.

We recently bought a 1967 mid-century modern bungalow and renovations are starting this summer.

Travelling is ingrained into my soul. I’ve been to nearly 50 countries, lived in London for over two years, and am always dreaming up new destinations. I can’t describe the feeling I get wandering an unfamiliar street, strolling to get a café or a spritz with a side of olives and a view. European countries have taken up real estate on over half of my passport. Our daughter’s first country was Spain at 4 months old and she’s been to 6 countries before her first birthday. A born natural.

I hope you don't mind

That I put down in words

How wonderful life is

While you're in the world
